Old age? Screw him…

July 7, 2009

Finally, some justice. In Germany, a court has ruled that former Waffen-SS member Heinrich Boere is healthy enough to be brought before the court and tried for the murder of three Dutch civilians as revenge for attacks by the Dutch resistance. While born in Germany, he was raised in Maastricht. After the war he was imprisoned in a allied camp where he admitted to killing the three Dutch men. He escaped the camp and fled to Germany.

In 1949 he was convicted to the death-penalty by a Dutch court but the Germany government refused to extradite him. Until now, Germany never brought him to trial. But now it seems, that may finally change. On April 14th, 2008 the state prosecution in Dortmund announced to be preparing to file charges against Heinrich Boere. On 8 January 2009 the Court of Aachen has ruled that Boere is medically unfit and will not have to stand trial in the case. On July 7 2009, the German Appeals Court ruled that Heinrich Boere was fit for trial.

Heinrich Boere, may you rot in prison for the rest of your miserable life and may the souls of your victims haunt you in hell till the end of times!
